Downward Dog Yoga Pose

“Why do people do yoga? To clear their minds? I embrace the clutter in my head.” —Chris Rock, Comedian

You gotta love Chris and, yes, we all have a lot of clutter in our heads, but it is amazing how great yoga and meditation can make you feel and what a relief it is to clear out some of the junk that is bouncing around inside our heads.

I’m going to have a little garage sale this weekend for my mind and clear out some of the clutter with a yoga Nidra meditation session. If you want to learn more about yoga Nidra, read my blog about my yoga Nidra out of body experience or visit the Amrit Yoga website at

Just over from the SITS Blog Frog community!

I need to do some serious clearing out the weekend. We've just moved and unpacking has made me realise how much junk I really do have! Maybe a car boot sale is the way to go.

Also I pulled my back really badly this week – sneezing, can you believe it. The doctor has prescribed me 3 kinds of pain killers. So I've decided that when I'm back to being able to move again I'm taking up yoga again, seriously, to stengethen the muscles in my lower back and make me more flexible and stronger again. I'll start slowly but I need to do something!

Have a lovely day,

Jade -
Sorry to hear about your back. I can't tell you how much yoga has helped strengthen my back. Definitely get back into yoga when you recover. Here's a blog I wrote about yoga for scoliosis. Even if you don't have scoliosis like I do – this yoga video is really great for strengthening the back.
BTW – I love your @ No Longer 25 – that is great! I'm way past 25 – but in my mind I'll always be 25!

Stopping by to say hi from SITS! I love your blog, Maria. The design is great, so easy to follow and fun. I try to do Yoga once a week, but I'm terribly inflexible. Any suggestions for those of us that can't even touch our toes?

Stopping by from BlogFrog because I was intrigued by how you “never run out of ideas” for your blog. That is pretty awesome, and you have a great topic to focus your blog around. I know where to go if I want to learn more about Yoga! Bests!

I am about the most inflexible person on this planet! You just have to jump on a yoga mat and not worry about whether you can touch your toes or that the person next to you is a human pretzel. Just continue to practice and you'll be amazed at how your flexibility increases. I've seen amazing results in this past year.
