If Your Limbs Work, Life is Good
“My limbs work, so I’m not going to complain about the way my body is shaped.” —Drew Barrymore
I absolutely love this quote. What a great kick in the butt for anyone who complains about the size of their ass, their honking nose, thunder thighs, or flat chest. Can you walk? Can you use your arms? Do you get out of bed every day? If so, then life is good, and we need to love and embrace all the unique nooks and crannies and bulges of our beautiful bodies.
I think you all know who Drew Barrymore is. She has been an actress since the tender age of five and has gone on to star and produce many films. This is her second appearance on the Women Who Rock page (February 12, 2010), and I promise, I’ll write a complete Woman Who Rocks profile on her someday, as I know this is not the last time we will hear from her.
If you need a little Drew fix, here’s two of her films that are my favorites:
Music & Lyrics—Drew, I’m jealous that you got to work with Hugh Grant (one of my big crushes)!
Fever Pitch—how can you go wrong with a romantic comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers and co-starring the adorable Jimmy Fallon? Plus, it’s about baseball, so it makes a great date movie.
