“I love being married. It’s so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.”
I love this quote and I’m sure I annoy the crap out of my husband, but, hey, I make up for it with my great vegetarian cooking and amazing housekeeping skills.
Rita Rudner is an amazing comedienne, writer, and actress. She went to NYC when she was 15 to pursue a career on Broadway as a dancer and appeared in several Broadway shows, including Follies and Mack & Mabel. At 25 she became interested in pursuing comedy when she noticed there were very few female comedians.
With a lot of study and hard work, Rita became a successful comedienne and has appeared on many television shows, including The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, has recorded several award-winning comedy DVDs, co-wrote the screenplay and acted in the movie Peter’s Friends, sold more than one million tickets for her live Vegas shows, and is contracted to appear at Harrah’s in Vegas through 2012.
Her most recent book—I Still Have It…I Just Can’t Remember Where I Put It: Confessions of a Fiftysomething—is funny, quick, enjoyable, and in it she proves that even though she is a 30-year-old trapped inside the body of a 50-year-old, she is not senile enough yet to misplace her sense of humor.
