This “No Fear” Thing is Working For Me!

Bridge Pose in YogaI had another small victory in yoga class yesterday. I pulled off side angle plank with no knee to the ground. Normally, when I go into side angle plank, I can hold it for just a few seconds, and then I wimp out and put my knee down.

Yesterday, as I moved into the pose, I lifted my hand high and just told myself I was going to stay in the pose and not put my knee down. I breathed into the pose, forgot about the fact that I thought my arm was going to collapse, and really tried to enjoy the pose. As we reached the last few breaths of the pose, I knew I was going to make it. I reached my arm higher and reveled in my triumph over my fear.
